Frank and Carol live in the central north island just below Lake Taupo where the famous Tongariro River flows out into the lake. Based in Turangi it is possible to fish almost every day of the year in the many water ways around the lake.

Summer steelhead  and stalking large brown trout in the  Tongariro River can give many enjoyable hours of fun.   Trophy fish in the small hydro lake can challenge the skills of most fishermen.
